I am an elementary school teacher with the YRDSB. I have experience teaching homeroom classes and am currently a Music teacher to K-8 students. I strive to bring a multidisciplinary approach to my teaching, such that my students are able to connect their learning between different subjects. I have experience facilitating a gradual integration of Special Education students into my classes in a mainstream classroom.

My responsibilities include:- Hosting escape room games - Close-circuit monitoring of customer experiences in order to provide hints and assistance as required- Administrative duties such as checking in customers, and processing payments- Resetting the escape room after each group's experience- Marketing duties such as representing the company at street festivals, handing out flyers, talking to tourists in downtown Kingston, etc.

Queen's University opens up some of its student residences for both casual and conference guests throughout the summer months, essentially running like a hotel. As a front desk representative, I am in charge of checking guests in and out, responding to guests' requests and/or complaints, and assisting in maintaining the operation of the residences in general. Because the desk is open 24 hours a day, a typical shift is 8 hours long, and will alternate between 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am, or 12am-8am shifts each week.

I have been on staff as a music camp counsellor with Queen's ARC for the past few summers, and am fortunate enough to be working as a Senior Camp Counsellor with Music in Motion this summer. The camp is run in partnership with Queen's Community Music, such that the children do half a day of music and half a day of sports each day. The camp is a one-week camp that runs for multiple weeks throughout the summer, and is geared towards children aged 4-5 (Peewee), 6-8 (Junior), and 8-10 (Senior). I've been charge of developing, preparing, and delivering the music portion of the camp each summer, as well as mentoring and training newer counselors. Each camp week concludes in a performance for parents on the Friday afternoon.

I worked as a teacher for the Yip's Summer Camp program, and due to my experience in education and music, was asked to teach a variety of classes and subjects including kindergarten arts/music/math/reading, dance camp, cooking, and Chinese reading and writing. In addition, I often worked closely with special needs students who needed extra support and/or accommodation as many of the other staff didn't have as much knowledge and experience as I did to help students who had learning needs have a successful week at camp.

As a alumni of Allegro Dance School, I started off as a teacher's assistant for the PreDance program, and joined the faculty for the school's summer camp program a few years later. I have taught dance classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary to students aged 3-12. I have also choreographed dances for small groups, as well as duets and solos in various genres.
