Angel Barraza Email and Phone Number

Angel Ernesto Barraza was born in Redwood City, California. In 2007 he moved to Fresno where he would be raised alongside a brother and sister. He is a first-gen student at Fresno State majoring in Criminology under the Forensic Behavioral Science option. He first became involved with work focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (D.E.I.) through the Cross Cultural and Gender Center's Men's Success Initiative. He was originally a mentee within the program during his 1st year at Fresno State but later became the Student Coordinator in his 2nd year. It is through this position that he was able to meet and connect with so many amazing and dedicated people who wished to support others through D.E.I. He was able to use his own experiences and the experiences others shared by others to create events to support and uplift men/men of color. He is now currently in his 4th year, a semester away from attaining his Bachelors, and currently work with Fresno State Upward Bound. Through his professional experiences and his field of study, he hopes to continue to work and support those who have faced challenges due to poverty, crime, mental illness, or other obstacles.
