Responsible for running lead for all North American entities, which involved training a staff of two accountants on how to do all of the month end close entries as well as teach them how to prepare proper GL reconciliations. Traveled overseas and brought back the accounting to our Houston office for our Belgium, Italy, UK, and German entities. Manage month end closing for all entities in SAP as well as oversee the team in month end closing of North American entities in IFS and assisting them with any questions or problems that arise. Assisted the Accounting Manager with decisions on write offs as well as the roles of the other Accountants. Responsible for commission calculations for all global entities.

Responsible for monthly journal entries ranging from fixed assets, prepaid amt, allowance for doubtful accounts, payroll, daily cash activity as well as various other journal entries necessary for monthly close as well as the reconciliations that accompany each GL account. Responsible for various banking duties from reconciling the daily ACH and wire transfers as well as all monies coming into the company. Responsible for commanding modules close at the end of each month. Worked alongside two CPAs and have had on the job training from them. Maintained the company’s eligibility to work in various states across the US through business licenses, annual reports, and contractor licenses. Also responsible for cash applications, California vacation accruals, management of various fleet lease plans, as well as reconciling customer’s accounts for the credit department.

Responsible for the management and collections of 1700+ accounts consisting of 14 to 17 million. Duties included running DNBs, collection of receivables, updating customer accounts and overall management of the accounts. Worked very closely with the sales force to correct customer billings, collect past due monies, and smooth out customer complaints

Responsible for the credit management of 300+ accounts for a paint manufacturing company. Accounts consisted of marine and protective coating companies that ranged from cruise lines to the U.S. navy. Responsible for reviewing credit applications, approving accounts for credit, monthlycollections, and sending of lien notices when appropriate. Gained experiencein lien rights for the West Coast of the United States as well as experience in collections for a manufacturing company.
