During my internship, I developed the web part of DocDive, a question answering Chatbot designed to extract information from uploaded documents. My responsibilities encompassed various facets of the project, including backend and frontend development, as well as integration with third-party platforms.My tasks were:-Backend development of the Chat functionality.-Backend development of the Document upload and status functionality.-Frontend implementation of the entire UI of the application based on a Figma design.-Creation of a custom document viewer with PDF.js-Development of a Teams chatbot by utilizing Microsoft Bot Framework to mirror the same functionality as the web application.I had great mentorship during my time as an intern and I feel like my perspective on coding evolved significantly, leading to a more sophisticated and effective approach to software development. I gained a much deeper understanding of the inner workings of Spring Boot and how it can be used in practice. Additionally I got to experiment and research new topics which really improved my problem solving skills as I embraced a proactive approach to challenges.
