Angel has been a USPTA Elite Professional since 1995 and has over 25 years of teaching experience and managing tennis programs, including ladies' teams, men's leagues, junior programs, tournaments and events.Angel is the recipient of the USPTA/USTA Florida State Service Award and the USTA Member Organization Award. As a player, he attained the No. 1 ranking in the USPTA Men’s 25-and-over Doubles and the No. 6 ranking in the Men’s 35-and-over Singles. Angel also became a Certified Personal Trainer in order to add another component to the development of tennis players. He has worked with top USTA Florida Junior players, started the Boca Raton Christian School tennis program, coached the St. Andrews School varsity team. Some of those players received collegiate scholarships, including his daughter Alexis, a top 10 junior player in the state of Florida and top 70 nationally, earning a full scholarship to the University of Central Florida.Angel, a native of Puerto Rico, has been living in Boca Raton for over 25 years, and has worked as the Director of Tennis at The Club at Boca Pointe, The Moorings Yacht & Country Club (Vero Beach), Mission Bay Tennis and The New Canaan Field Club in Connecticut as the Operations Manager and Ladies Coordinator.  He has also worked at the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club and the Boca Raton Resort & Club.Angel is an experienced Director Of Racquets with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry. Skilled in Event Planning, Customer Service, Sports Management, Coaching, and Sales. Strong community and social services professional with a CPTS focused in Certified Personal Training Specialist from Fitness Institute International. Most recently Angel has been working on his pickleball certification and he is currently offering clinics, lessons and pickleball events at Frenchmans Reserve CC.Angel Rodriquez not only says “Tennis is a game for the ages and a game where it is never too late to learn,” but he is also living proof of that concept. “Most people think you have to begin to learn to play tennis at a young age,” says the always-smiling Rodriquez, Director of Tennis at The Club at Boca Pointe. “Of course that’s true if you have dreams of becoming a touring, top-rated professional. “But if you are looking for a life sport…an athletic activity that has physical attributes as well as being a great social tool, then it is never too late to begin.”
