As the first Training Lead for TAMUCC Tutoring & Learning Services, I was the first on the team to redesign and create their current CRLA program. In effect, this meant developing curriculum, organizing the training program, and scheduling training events to accommodate 100 employees.Our avenue of the department is responsible for guiding employees from new hire status all the way to CRLA Level III Master Peer Tutor or Educator certification. We facilitate this development for our department's employees (six roles across four centers) and provide our program's services to the Athletic Tutoring department. I am also involved in many behind-the-scenes management and production activities. For example, I have conducted interviews, facilitated department events, created databases, served as lead in tracking and archiving employee benchmarking data, et cetera. I have grown leaps and bounds as an administrator in this role and am looking forward to developing more soon.

I opened Moonlight Tutoring in 2016. At the time, I was the only employee and only served one student. MNLT was my first venture in starting a business, but not the first tutoring program I created: my first was designing and launching the peer-to-peer tutoring program at Texas Online Virtual Academy... when I was in 7th grade. I next pioneered a similar program at my prep school in 9th grade (at the recommendation/request of the HOS). Afterward, I was ready for my first job but elected to open my first business instead. Since then, the company has grown to offer college-level courses, music lessons, and coaching programs to help students become independent in managing themselves. To provide these services, I source independent contractors and serve as the company liaison to connect students with the appropriate tutors and teachers to serve them. Still, I have not lost my love for teaching and aid; I continue to tutor and coach with MNLT.
