My professional and academic journey has shaped me into a culturally competent individual who enjoys making a positive impact on students' lives in any way I possibly can regardless of where they are in their journey K-Higher Education.My passion is in Educational Technology and being an ally to underrepresented students.My future goals include:*Maintaining a balance between work, school, being a father, a partner, and making time for self-care activities. *Collaborating with local K-Higher Ed institutions to partner with and create an online diversity ally training that is interactive for folks to acknowledge their own privileges and figure out how an entire educational institution can be mindful of the struggles of underrepresented students.*My next academic adventure will be focusing on shifting the mindset of underrepresented students that it is 100% a smart choice to attend a community college right after high school.*Creating a non-profit that focuses on connecting undocumented students with resources and scholarships that is a cohort style to really dive deep into every unique student's story. My focus will be on my local area to impact not only the lives of the student but their loved ones as this has a domino effect on the entire family.
