I'm a senior at Furman University majoring in chemistry. I previously was an undergraduate research assistant in an analytical chemistry lab. My project analyzed the natural degradation of atrazine by white rot fungi within the presence of soil containing heavy metals. Atrazine concentrations were observed by HPLC and metal concentrations by ICP-OES. I’m currently working as a quality and control laboratory assistant for a vitamin and supplement company. In this role I preform analytical techniques such as titrations and use instrumentation such as HPLC and LCMS.Because of the state of our environment, I'm very passionate about preserving and researching it chemically. I have a special interest for chemical instrumentation as well, and would love to involve this interest of mine in my future research.
