As a Research and Development Consultant at Ayming, I provide specialist advice to clients in various sectors on R&D tax reliefs, including the technical, tax and financial aspects of the relief schemes. I manage and prepare written reports supporting claims for R&D tax reliefs, using my strong communication and analytical skills. I have also worked with Verra, designing a novel methodology for quantifying real greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions. My passion for sustainable chemistry stems from my education background, where I obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Leeds in 2020. I specialised in polymer synthesis and application, and achieved a distinction in my final-year laboratory project and dissertation, which focused on fabricating functionalised biomaterials for wastewater treatment. I have also been directly involved with a start-up company, Bare Native, that is exploring biomaterials and their potential applications in environmental restoration and carbon capture.
