Laboratory Coordinator

Phlebotomy, processing of blood, urine, feces, and sputum. Centrifugation of blood. Point of care urine testing, point of care urine pregnancy testing, RSV testing, Streptococcus A-B testing, properly trained and use of A.I.D.E.T. Responsible for following proper procedures and protocols before, during and after venipuncture collections. Make proper packing list with correct specimens to be sent to individual testing sites. Entering physician signed orders into database. 12 lead EKG technician. Assist physician in fine needle aspiration of the thyroid and breast. Stocking and ordering medical supplies necessary for laboratory. Front office assistant, responsible for patient registration, and sharing all personal information and insurance provider information is current and accurate. Ensure all laboratory sanitation procedures are strictly adhered to. Follow all HIPPA guidelines. Basic first aid and CPR certified with phlebotomy certification.

Follow all standards of operating procedures. Supervise, train and monitor phlebotomist. Medical documentation. Basic first aid and CPR. Monitor donors during plasmapheresis process. Numerous venipunctures daily. Try to prevent and properly document any and all donor reactions . Complete donor identification at numerous times during complete process. Report any discrepancies immediately to supervisor. Contact center medical technician/nurse for any donor reactions that cannot be resolved by phlebotomist. Draw daily weekly and monthly blood draws with proper documentation. Stocking all soft goods needed on a daily basis with current and correct LOT numbers. Any other duties as assigned.

Receive work orders to report to patient/client residence. Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis, complete all medical documentation as well as medical history. Use FedEx to send out blood and urine samples with paramedical exams. Scan and send all documents to appropriate company supervisor. Follow all HIPPA guidelines.

Thorough knowledge of institutional rules, regulations, and requirements for control of inmates. Knowledge of individual and group attitude and behavior of inmates in the penal or correctional institution. Working knowledge of methods and techniques used in discipline of persons in correctional institutions. Thorough knowledge of practice and procedures in prison administrations, requires the ability to maintain adequate working relationships with public officials, investigatory, and law enforcement agencies. Ability to supervise correctional officer's and make independent decisions, ability to prepare reports of unusual incidents, accidents or violation of rules. Ability to train and supervise employees or inmates. Ability to understand and assume the duties of the immediate supervisor in the event of a vacation, sick leave, or emergency. Ability to think clearly and exercise forceful initiative in emergencies, served as an audit team member as well as employee benefit committee member. I was temporarily assigned to paralegal assistant for a period of six months and work in time keeping.
