Coordination of intake of emergent patients for both large and small animal services. Tasks include answering phones, coordinating with on call doctors, taking payments and organizing charts for both current and previous patients.

Designing and demonstrating Conservation Best Management Practices of Horse Farms using rotational grazing systems.Studied the effect of rotational grazing on pasture botanical composition and nutrition with off the track thoroughbreds.Creation of a mare and foal protocol for parturition and first days of life for the center.Extension programs including talks, local farm visits and seminars.Daily horse care, pasture sampling, turf grass projects and foal duties.Pregnant Mare and foal care including foal watch, foal handling, palpation and breeding via artificial insemination.Collaboration with Rutgers, University of Maryland and University of Tennessee on rotational grazing system studies.

Daily weanling, yearling and broodmare care, assisting with stallion collection and breeding via Artificial Insemination.Assisted with nutrition study with weanling foals, took cannon bone measurements, recorded weight, hip height and wither height.

My responsibilities at Deepwood Veterinary Clinic include checking and organizing medical records for all patients, scheduling appointments, assisting with emergency calls and assisting office visits. I have also shadowed the veterinarians on regular appointments, emergency calls on the road and surgeries for cats, dogs, and large animals (livestock). I have also helped with kennel and grooming duties when needed. Over 800 hours working at and shadowing seven veterinarians at this clinic in the hospital and on the road.
