About Angela Eames
Angela Eames lives and works in East Sussex. Eames was one of the first fine artists to engage with the electronic realm, beginning to work with computer imaging as early as 1987. In the early 1990s she was a member of Siggraph and a regular contributor to Prix Ars in Austria. Eames' diverse practice acknowledges both traditional and contemporary approaches to drawing and technologies. Eames also set up stillhere - a digital archiving and imaging service for artists and exhibits her work nationally and internationally. Eames uses three-dimensional virtual meshing to build objects in virtual space, mapping information and material onto three-dimensional frameworks and then returning to a two-dimensional physical place - a canvas. Her work flickers between the human and the digital realm focusing on the issue of veiling and unveiling, revealing the hidden ... or not.
