I drove to different steel plants and refineries, and tested their water supply. Usually just for pH. But I would take water samples from storm water pipes, clarifiers, cooling towers, outfalls. etc. I would then send them out to get tested for VOCs, oil and grease, iron, zinc, dissolved solids and suspended solids as well as chromium.I also was qualified to do visual air inspections. Basically, I watched the roofs or smoke stacks and watched for smoke emmissions. And if anything looked out of the ordinary such as heavier smoke plumes or smoke coming out where it shouldn't be. I would report it to the appropriate people to fix it.

Protected lives by watching the pool, provided necessary first aid when needed. I have been working there for 6 years, and never had to rescue and perform CPR on anyone, which is a good thing.

I handled money and credit cards at the front desk, as well as some not so friendly people. I had to make sure I knew where certain "hot" items were in the store in case I needed to direct anyone to where the items may be. I also restocked shelves if needed.
