Developing and executing campaigns for global luxury travel clients including print advertorials, social, digital and event design under the Condé Nast Traveller Brand

Homes Division includes Country Living, House Beautiful and Elle Decoration. I was Creative Director across the entire Country Living brand, including the main magazine, Modern Rustic Magazine, various standalone bookazines and brand extensions including Country Living Hotel Group.As part of the Homes Division I jointly managed the desk of art editors and junior designers across all three brands.

Running the design and picture team to produce a monthly in store magazine. Art directing up to 10-12 shoots a month briefing external food photographers and prop stylists. Managing the shoot diary to make sure everyone knew what they were doing and when. Looking after the art budget and planning ahead. Creating the editor's vision for each issue and working with the senior teams to make sure it was on track at all times. Brainstorming feature ideas for future issues. Making sure the magazine always had a typographical flair and beautiful use of imagery throughout.

Deputising for the Creative Director when needed. Running the team and workflow. Designing the main magazine and brand extension publications. Checking brand extension products that carried the Cosmo name to check they were on brand at all times. Contributing to picture meetings. Discussing briefs with all senior heads of dept and editor in chief. Repro and retouching. Mentoring work experience people.

Working with the editor to make sure her vision was realised on every page. Working hard to understand her style and approach when I'd been promoted to Art Director. Art direction of shoots, including celebrity covers and real life people.Running an art desk of three people. Magazine layout and production. Extensive picture research and concept work and ideas. Working closely with the production team to make sure Easy Living was the most ‘on-time’ magazine to press at Condé Nast. Attending the Chairman's meeting with the top level management to discuss each cover before press.

Working under Creative Director Geoff Waring on Conde Nast’s last new launch, I made sure his life was as stress free as possible, whilst running the art desk. Started as Art Editor, and was promoted after a year.

Art direction and design for the local listings magazine for Newcastle. Also design work for various theatres in Newcastle including Northern Stage, art group Locus + and all artwork and promotional material for the launch of Newcastle Comedy Festival.Books, brochures, posters, leaflets, advertising design for leading businesses in the area.
