In the warehouse industry I started knowing nothing but quickly caught on to picking, packing and shipping techniques and requirements. I worked at Uni-select for 2 years prior to them shutting down to relocate. At Uni-select I was picking the fastest rate of anyone in the warehouse. also, I was cross trained in every department. I shipped directly to rockauto.com and I took the warehouse from the worst shipper to the best after just 2 months. Our orders went from 15 orders a day to 200 orders a day. At Eaton I was hired for the flow line but was quickly cross trained to pick orders from the floor. I was on the safety team at Eaton also. I cross trained on the tracer which is the shipping system that required computer knowledge. It also required repeatedly lifting boxes from .5 lbs to 100lbs. I chose to leave the warehouse industry to fulfil my goals of working in health care. I took my CNA class through Salem health and rehab and graduated 2nd in my class. Working as a CNA has been very rewarding in many ways.
