 Carry out inspections of all types of premises, report on their condition and maintain relevant records as required. Issue of Notices where necessary. Ensure that all premises, required to be licensed under the Health Act and Regulations, Environmental Protection Act and Paroo Shire Council’s local laws, are duly licensed and comply with all statutory requirements. Assess sanitary conditions, issue notices and follow up where necessary. Investigate and report upon complaints received from the public and take remedial action as required. Perform in all areas of Water Testing and water safety requirements within the Shire traveling up to 600km per day. Carry out Treatment Plant Testing for regular compliance updates.

 Assist with coordination of general, routine, planned and capital maintenance of council buildings, fleet and facilities in accordance with maintenance plans and day to day requirements. Assist in the management of contractors carrying out Council Assets work as required including scope of works, purchase orders, progress payments, checking of invoices against scope of works, timeframes or delays in projects and communicating these to relevant internal clients. Assist with drafting, implement and review scopes of work, plans, drafts and specifications for works as they relate to asset maintenance and capital works. Assist the Team Leader, Assets to complete strategic reviews and analysis of Assets within Council to improve financial sustainability for Council and strive for best value best practice.
