  Served as the Global Lean Six Sigma (LSS) focal point and participated as the technical lead on the Green belt / Black belt certification boards. Developed a DPS (disciplined problem solving) template in SharePoint for those not trained in LSS. Led in house GB Training every year since 2010. Provided Sigma XL software and training to GB’s and mentors as an alternative to Minitab. Conducted Leadership training class for the 2011 class of Greenbelts.  RCA focal point at Belpre utilizing the Apollo methodology to identify root causes to incidents. Led multiple RCA’s to determine causes for injuries, off spec production and environmental incidents.  Process Engineer for a Re-Instrumentation project in one of the manufacturing units. Wrote over 25 complex loop descriptions, worked with contract engineering to test functionality, and provided shift coverage during start-up. Project resulted in $860K in variable cost improvements and $550K in fixed cost improvements.  Test run coordinator and process support for numerous new product introductions. Several were fully commercialized and supported the business goals of 20% profit from products < 5yrs old.

 Led a Six Sigma project to reduce the "Color" Defects of a textile product by 100%, which resulted in avoiding the risk of losing $1.11 MM in sales (286 mton) and a WOW recognition award for the team.  Led a Six Sigma / Lean team which implemented a drumming station and tank improvement project to increase the utilization in the Emulsion Production system by 26%. This accomplishment contributed to saving over $300,000 in toll fees. Engaged personnel in all levels of the organization in the Six Sigma culture by mentoring 10 Greenbelts in the completion of their exam, 3 greenbelt projects to completion, leading training during 2004 and 2005 greenbelt classes and training Black belts and Master Black belts during the week 2 and week 3 courses in summer 2005.

 Performed the process engineering and managed the cost / schedule of Capital Projects. Succeeded to bring in all projects at or under initial estimate for the work through a combination of scope reduction and firm cost bids before expenditure request submittal. Provided Process Safety Management services to the plant by initiating training to become a PHA facilitator and an ISO-9000 internal quality auditor resulting in an Excellence through Quality (EQ) recognition award. Supported New Product Introduction process for over 10 new products. Wrote Operating Procedures, Operational Safety Standards, led training, designed system retrofit, organized logistics, verified system / process capability and provided technical coverage. Ensured the manufacturing department met or exceeded standards required by OHSA / EPA. Coordinated SARA 313 reporting, RCRA / ground water inspections, conducted Facility of Change Reviews and safety audits.
