- I provide personalized support, resources, and guidance through workshops, and direct students to our RE counselors.- Outreach to qualifying re-engagement students, and work with grant funds as incentives for students to return to LBCC.- Leverage technology to manage a caseload of students to improve academic outcomes, including Starfish, SARS, and Microsoft applications; this includes assisting students with matriculation steps, supporting matriculation and registration events, registration assistance.- Support the Completions coaches as well, assisting with their projects and outreaching to students who have applied for certificates.- Support the General Counseling department, assisting students to meet with their counselors, as well as walk incoming students with the LBCC application and registration.

- As a Success Coach in the CalWORKs Department, I work one-on-one with students to provide personalized support, guidance, and resources.- Create a weekly newsletter for CalWORKS students, including events, workshops, and important news and deadlines to best support students. I also manage a Canvas page to communicate with students and post announcements. We also use Starfish to make and schedule appointments for myself with my caseload of students. - Collaborate with the CalWORKS counselor to develop educational plans, assist with overcoming barriers to success, and help students navigate both academic and personal challenges.- Attend weekly professional development meetings with the entire success coach team at PCC.

As a student ambassador, I am a form of support for prospective and newly admitted students through their application and admission process.

- Participated in weekly professional development meetings- Managed the Career Services email, and the former USC career platform Simplicity in adding and approving positions posted for students to apply.- Assisted with formatting the presentations to Rossier programs provided by Rossier Career Services, and shadowed these presentations as well. I was also able to shadow career counseling appointments.- Plan and assist with Career Services events, including the K-12 Career Fair, ‘Networking with the Higher Ed Pros’, and the Executive Search Firms series. - Tasked with creating marketing media for these events and programs, and more.

- As Peer Advisors, I worked in a team of 2-4, and we represented the Psychology department and CHASS, beginning with the psychology/neuroscience department and worked closely with the psychology academic advisors.- I had weekly walk-ins to meet with students, up to 10 hours a week, and managed the PSYC advising email. - I managed the PSYC Advising Instagram and GroupMe, created to create and promote community for the Psychology and Neuroscience students at UCR. We created and facilitated events, including fun mixers and professional development workshops like our Resume and LinkedIn building event.- I created media for these events and our instagram as well, utilizing Canva. - As the role continued, we expanded to the entire College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS), and assisted all CHASS students, managed a new instagram and email.- I also assisted with the 2022 and 2023 summer orientation, for both first-year and transfer students, and worked one-on-one with students through their registration.

- As a research assistant in the ER lab, I worked under the leading faculty member and their graduate students, and assisted with their research studies. - In the ER lab, we focused on children, families, and adults to examine the connections between thoughts and feelings and understand how emotions impact positive and negative outcomes over time.- I participated in weekly meetings with my graduate student lead, and monthly lab team meetings. - I was tasked with literature reviews, study proposals of my own, and when we began our study, I ran participants through the study and transcribed data.- I was also given the opportunity to formulate and present a research poster at R’PSYC.

- As a research assistant in the CALLA lab, I worked alongside the graduate students and the faculty member, and supported the lab through literature reviews. - The lab studied the factors influencing cognitive development and decline across the lifespan, particularly in learning and attention.- I analyzed their prior studies, and connected new research to their findings as support. - Because of the COVID-19 pandemic beginning shortly after I began, my role was limited due to a pause in research. However, the literature reviews I conducted gave me a foundation to research and developed skills that I was able to use in future labs and courses.
