Mission StatementI value my role as a guidance counselor, and enjoy the successes my students achieve, both academically and personally. I have an open door policy to the entire school community, with any questions and concerns that may arise. I provide a positive and supportive setting for students, parents, and faculty. My primary role is to be an advocate for my students, providing them with the education, social and emotional support they need during their high school, and secondary education. I actively listen to my students and guide them to find their own answers to adolescent dilemmas. My vision is to empower students to be interested learners, independent thinkers, and become well-rounded individuals. The following is a quote by Lon Watters, “School is a building that has four walls-with tomorrow inside”. This truly expresses how I think about students I work with. We all possess a common goal, which is to guide today’s youth, as they become tomorrow’s leaders. I take pride in assisting my students with achieving the building blocks of their future endeavors.ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES:• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Schoolwires, eSchool, Naviance/Family Connection, PowerSchool, IEP Direct, Career Zone, Guidance Direct, Infinite Campus and Smart Board Technology
