Responsible for accurate and timely issuance of monthly Financial Statements and Month End Reporting for CEO, VP of Finance, Board of Directors and Owners/Partners.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting. Net Profit and Loss Statement Reporting. The Net Profit and Loss is used as a control for the Income Statement generated out of the grain accounting program. I keep track of and analyze daily trading activity and cash basis activity. At the end of the month, I update prices and generate a net income or loss based on that cash basis and spreads/trading activity. This is compared to the Income Statement as a double check to ensure accuracy in Financial Reporting. I manage several spreadsheets to check items like discounts and costs related to vessel loading. I create a blend spreadsheet to analyze the discounts based on blending the grain that come into the elevator and what is put on the boat. I analyze the dockage and price that at the closing market price. Dockage is a percentage discount so we need to account for that percentage gain or loss compared to the market price at the end of the month (there could be gains in dockage in grain purchased and losses in dockage compared to what we got paid on, and this is netted together). I do a position verification and a unloaded not settled verification to make sure all activity is accounted for from our unloads not settled and to verify our inventory and various positions in commodities. After the income statement is verified, I put in all the information in a month to date analysis and year to date analysis and then compare this data to budget.Daily accounts payable and receivables including 90% or 100% advances and finalizing settlements on grain purchased and sold. Ensure accuracy of grain certificates and discounts for final payments made and received based on official grade certificates. Update weights and grades for grain sold, processing invoices and payments based on these weights and grades if destination grades were obtained. Researching invoicing and payment disagreements with customers to resolution of these differences. Contact customers on past due payments to resolution of payment.
