Manage team of professionals responsible for a plant’s financial accounting, forecasting, reporting, analysis and controls for two Air Handler plants and one distribution center, a $250M+ plant of Ingersoll Rand. Chief Financial Officer responsible for all financial, risk management, treasury and compliance/legal functions of Daniel Defense and affiliated companies with manufacturing, brokering, distribution of small arms and accessories worldwide. Chief Compliance Officer responsible for compliance with local, state and federal agencies including Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), US Department of Commerce and US State Department. Oversight over legal, working with outside legal counsel, general and firearms industry specialists. Worked closely with insurance agent on insurance requirements, such as automobile, general liability, kidnap & ransom, property, domestic & international shipping, and workers compensation. Assumed all treasury functions to include financing and foreign exchange. Developed and implemented financial policies, procedures and internal controls. Manage Swainsboro Lumber Operations, which consists of an optimized sawmill with a chip-n-saw, two direct fired kilns and high speed planer mill capable of producing 118 million board feet of 2 inch and 1 inch dimension lumber annually. Responsible for critical controls over inventory, fixed assets and receiving. Prepare and review capital project appropriation requests. Supervise production reporting and reporting of other statistical data. Provide analytical support and ad hoc financial analysis to lumber operations management. Perform monthly closings and account reconciliations. Established and administered financial policies to meet SOX compliance. Two direct reports. Former duties included: Dual role of Controller of Eatonton and Swainsboro sawmills. Credit manager for Southeast Lumber Operations customers and Procurement Division outside sales customers.
