I work at The Life Channel Group.The Life Channel is the UK’s largest private in-practice television network delivering health, wellbeing and community information and advice to patients withinGP Surgery waiting rooms. Broadcasting to thousands of GP Surgeries, Health and Children’s Centres and with the continued support of the Department of Health, the NHS and the Food Standards Agency, as well as many of the UK’s most recognisable brands, The Life Channel has become a successful, credible and proven method of effectively communicating with various audiences throughout the community. Nationally, The Life Channel reaches millions of patients monthly, of whom there is a significant bias towards female visitors, housewives with children (under the age of 16) and the Over 55 age group. These captive, receptive audiences wait an average of 20 minutes to see their GP during which The Life Channel is continuously displayed (with audio). Encouraging community cohesion, safety and personal health management, impactful live-action programming has been developed to help achieve the objectives set within a series of guiding policies implemented by the Department of Health (DH), all of which are designed to build stronger, safer and healthier communities.The success of The Life Channel within GP Surgeries has prompted expansion into additional community venues including Pharmacies, Opticians, Dental Practices, Children’s Centres, SureStart Centres, Schools & Colleges,Prisons and Probation Centres, all of whom receive a tailored version of the network appropriate to each audience.

My role is to work with NHS organisations, Local & County Councils, Police Forces, Fire Brigades, Charities and other community based groups to promote awareness campaigns on The Life Channel out-of-home television network.
