Specialization in treatment of disorders that involve emotion dysregulation such as Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, intractable depression and potentially life-threatening behaviors such as suicidal gestures, self-harm, pathological avoidance and intense anger/aggression.

Clinical supervisor and lead clinician at Casa Pacifica Center for the Treatment of Children and Families - Short-Term Adolescent Residential Treatment (START) program. Providing comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) including individual therapy, group therapy (DBT adolescent skills training group and DBT parent skills training group), milieu/phone DBT skills coaching and DBT consultation group. Additional evidenced-based treatments provided such as Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), family therapy and self-psychology. Casa Pacifica START program is a mental health/substance abuse recovery program for adolescents with a history of life threatening behavior such as suicidal behavior, self-harm and aggression. Treatment is provided at the residential level of care, as well as part of a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program. Clinical supervision of psychology interns as part of Casa Pacifica's APA accredited psychology internship program.

Director of Community Support Team. Supervised a mental health team (psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, behavior specialist, nurse) that provided mental health services to adults, adolescents and children with developmental disabilities (mostly autism spectrum disorders) and psychiatric illness. Due to challenging behaviors, these individuals were at risk for hospitalization, incarceration, and/or displacement. The team utilized behavioral interventions, such as ABA and caregiver management training, as well as psychotherapy, skills training, and psychotropic medication management.

Supervised psychology department and oversaw several other active treatment departments for 120 bed developmental center specializing in the support of individuals dually diagnosed with a developmental disability and chronic mental illness with significant maladaptive behaviors. Psychology department utilized person-centered behavior modification interventions, such as ABA, as well as group and individual psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
