Mentored, coached and trained our team to identify risks in our current tax processes, create efficiencies in our current processes, and train the organization on all new processes, new laws, and compliance issues. Accomplishments:Operated as the organizations project manager creating and implementing new projects, processes, and efficiencies. Consistently reviewed, created, and implemented internal process improvements and controls.Created training content: manuals and individual state cheat sheetsTrainer: trained stores on their unique tax laws and regulations, and rules of engagement on cross-state, or country tax regulations. Reduced our city, state, and federal filing processes by more than 50%; this equated to about 15 days’ time, and 2 full-time employees. Recovered more than $2 million dollars in overpaid sales taxes to multiple states; and decreased the annual tax burden by a quarter of a million dollars annually. Primary contact and resource for all internal and external auditors.Implemented a process with the accounting department to regularly review vendor invoices for overpaid taxes, permitting us to report and train those vendors on their inaccuracies, and recovering our overpaid tax dollars.

As the Chief Product Development Officer I successfully created, tested, and marketed all new products and product lines. I worked directly with our clients and vendors to research and validate market needs, trends, pricing and product availability. Internally evaluated product sales and profit trends ensuring that we successfully and timely adjusted our product offerings.
