I managed our facility's SOP database system as well as write, collaborate, and publish new SOPs and other technical documents. I also assigned and tracked all online training for our plant's personnel in additional to tracking/filing all physical training for each employee. I supervised our facility's record management system by collaborating with a third party vendor for the storage and/or destruction of our facility's controlled records. I also worked as a member of the Human Resources department dealing with payroll, time off requests and questions, employee benefits, job descriptions, medical claims, employee discipline, company/union correspondence, on-boarding, and scheduling medical appointments.

I was responsible for the supervision and training of ten laboratory employees in our 24/7 operation. I approved all weekly time cards and vacation requests. I also calibrated all laboratory instruments as required and maintained all maintenance logs and calibration spreadsheets. I reviewed all logbooks, daily reports, and instrument logs for any discrepancies. I was also responsible for all ordering within our department.

I prepped, analyzed, and reported routine shift samples, storage tanks, and final shipment (rail, truck, and barge) samples. I calibrated process probes and meters throughout the facility. I also packaged and shipped samples to outside laboratories for additional testing as required for quality and/or environmental compliance in addition to fulfilling sample requests for customers.

I performed the analysis of organic samples using gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry. I was also a member of our safety committee, the Peoria District 150 Science Internship Program, and the OSHA Audit Team.
