Like The Gores Group, Global Equity Capital (GEC) acquired controlling interests in businesses where it could add value through operational and financial turnaround and or by extracting the businesses from their parent and empowering the management team with the right capital structure for each business. In July of 2011, GEC was merged back into The Gores Group. Throughout her 16 year career at Gores, Mrs. Blatteis was integrally involved in the acquisitions of Verifone, The Learning Company, Aonix, Intelliverse, and Scovill Fasteners, and Halifax Corporation of Virginia among others.
