This course will explore the major areas of community health, epidemiology, health systems management, public health policy, advocacy, environmental and behavioral health sciences. Project Manager for Building Healthy Urban Communities providing daily oversight and management of this grant-funded initiative designed to improve education, employment and health outcomes of Chicago’s west and south sides. This project is a collaboration with the Medical Home Network (MHN) and Malcolm X City College to develop curriculum for new allied health professionals, advance more sophisticated and effective continuing education models for providers and health professionals within MHN, train an elite group of health disparities researchers and test new models of care while ensuring efficiency, cost control and high quality.

• Provide administrative support to the Department of Health Systems Management • Coordinator for Admissions Committee for 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 admission cycles.• Assisted with the creation of tools and metrics to evaluate impact for Pre-K through High School Education Pipeline Initiatives occurring across the RUMC Organization.• Collaborated on the development of a REDCap database to house Education Pipeline evaluation tools and surveys.• Administrative support to the Building Healthy Urban Communities project aimed at improving education, workforce development and health outcomes in medically underserved communities on Chicagos south and west sides.

• Research Assistant for the Academy Health ONC Grant developing new models of care coordination for clients/patients that are either housing insecure or homeless. • Project management duties related to the development of a data management system to enhance integration and bi-directional flow of data between UI Health’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with All Chicago’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).

• Assisted in the research and development of a guidance document and toolkit related to the care of intoxicated/chemically dependent patients in the Emergency Department setting. • Compiled industry best practices to assist member organizations in the assessment, treatment, and disposition of intoxicated patients, inclusive of dual diagnosis and suicidal patients.

• Job duties included purchasing and materials management, inventory control, IT, charge entry, census reporting, accounts receivables, medical financial bookkeeping and other administrative tasks. • Main purchasing agent for Chicago Lakeshore Hospital. • Monitored and managed all revenue received into the hospital.• Served as main point person for preparing and entering daily charge entries for billing purposes. • Liaised between CLSH, and corporate parent Aurora Behavioral Health Care.• Coordinated planning and spearheaded furniture, fixtures and equipment acquisition for the Chicago Lakeshore Hospital Children’s Pavilion expansion (opened May 2013).
