Angela Curry is a passionate and accomplished leader in Huntsville, Alabama. She earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and has lived in the city for over 30 years. Angela is the founder and executive director of United Women of Color, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls, women, and their communities. In addition to her work with United Women of Color, Angela is a Senior Specialist in Configuration Management at Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technology Company, with 15 years of technical writing and process improvement experience across various industries. She has been recognized for her community organizing efforts, receiving the UAH 2021 Alumni of Achievement Award and the Rosa Parks Catalyst of Change Award. Angela also serves on the board of directors for Alabama Forward and Huntsville Bail Fund. Outside of her professional and community work, she enjoys swimming, riding her motorcycle, and mentoring with Troop 400.
