As the founder and leader of Opened Culture, I oversee a wide range of strategic initiatives aimed at providing institutions and communities with innovative strategies, pedagogies, and technologies to advance inclusive and transformative teaching and learning environments. In my previous role as the OLC's Chief Academic Officer, I was able to leverage this expertise as the organizational lead for Every Learner Everywhere, a solutions network funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, focusing on advancing digital learning equity. From my tenure as an Associate Editor for the Teacher Education Board of MERLOT to the recipient of the 2018 MERLOT Distinguished Service Award and two OLC Effective Practice Awards, my dedication to service, innovation, and scholarship is reflected in my recognition as an OLC Fellow in 2019.Throughout my career, I've played a key role as the technical and project lead for four STARTALK Grants from the National Security Agency, emphasizing technology literacies and innovations in world languages classrooms. I've also been honored as an Erasmus Scholar by The University of Arizona, where I now teach courses on instructional design, digital media, web design, and gameful learning.My research and practice are guided by a mission to advance digital learning and a vision to co-create more inclusive, equitable, and vibrant educational landscapes.
