I firmly believe that we are positioned to make a difference and sometimes those opportunities last your entire career and sometimes those opportunities are short lived. No matter how much time we are with an organization, we need to make the most of it. I feel so blessed to have worked in health care in both the nonprofit sector and private sector, and what drew me back to the nonprofit sector is the amount of integrity, compassion, justice, teamwork and over all well-being that I am surrounded with. In addition to a compassionate work environment with leaders that have the heart to care for others without the expectation of anything in return, the innovation that can be found within the OSF Healthcare system is truly unheard of. I have the opportunity to work both behind the scenes and on the frontlines to highlight the great work being done in our Eastern Region. I am up to the challenge of pulling a seat up to the table where there are larger, corporate systems and fighting to have a voice. And I am honored to share the good news of the wonderful opportunities families have to receive quality care without feeling like a "number". The opportunity to work on behalf of an honorable organization is truly a blessing and one that I don't take lightly. With each experience I have had, I will apply those lessons to this position and continue to lead with integrity, compassion and I will always fight for justice. My faith is as strong as my belief in OSF Healthcare as the right choice for so many and I am proud to share the message.
