My passion is helping people of all ages with challenging barriers in life become independent, successful adults, while enhancing the communities they live in. I have done this in a variety of ways.I helped implement and monitor the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Youth Program in the summer of 2009. I successfully maintained a 35+ caseload of JET clients. I created, maintained and taught instructional computer classes and workforce development workshops. At the Department of Human Services I managed a caseload of 600+ by getting to know individuals, their families and their situations in order to determine their eligibility for government programs. I was assigned to a specialized Child Care and Development Unit as well as a specialized caseload serving as the Payments/Services Liaison. I volunteered my time to be on the Community Resource Committee.I am currently working for The Source; a non-profit employee resource network. As a Program Manager, I am able to utilize my community resource knowledge and work with an innovative team to help people keep their jobs and advance their careers.
