Led IT Infrastructure teams of 120 staff UK wide supporting critical cross-technology platform systems for both internal and external customers.- Realised significant cost savings by integrating distributed operational support teams and services from across the group and by reducing operational costs year on year by at least 10%- Maintained customer service levels against a backdrop of significant organisational change.- Provided lower cost standardised application hosting service based on virtualised Microsoft application server platform including 3rd party supplier selection. -

Led an operational support team of 40 staff providing IT systems support for Microsoft and Unix technologies providing business critical services, some 24x7, to both internal and external customers. Managed Hardware Maintenance and Desktop Support outsourced contracts.- Delivered the technical infrastructure and support services to deliver the industry leading Woolwich Open Plan service. A result of a joint venture between Woolwich, Microsoft and Unisys, the integration with mainframe systems was one of the first in the UK. - Integrated Woolwich services into the Barclays organisation without impacting services and achieved significant cost savings.- Improved availability of key services year on year.- Effectively managed major service incidents receiving excellent client feedback- Managed Desktop supplier to realise planned contract cost savings by implementing service improvement plans resulting in improved performance and reduction in resources required.Roles also held:-- Project Manager for Year 2000 Project - Client Services- Client Account Manager, owning the relationship & SLAs between Central IT and the Group's IT Service users- Services Support Consultant, managing SLA's, Service Level Reporting and Problem Management - Senior Analyst, supporting end-user applications and infrastructure
