Collaborated with legal, scientific, and policy experts on New York City’s urban environmental issues to provide research support to Program Director and Senior Attorney.• Researched data on recycling, waste management, drinking water, air pollution, toxic substances, energy efficiency, noise pollution, parks and natural areas to produce New York City's Environmental Vital Signs: A Twenty-Five Year Check-Up.• Investigated environmental procurement, city and state budgets, and market strategy to support NYC’s recycling law.• Contributed to publications including “Too Good to Throw Away: Recycling’s Proven Record.”• Represented NRDC at government agency meetings, environmental coalition gatherings, and educational policy forums.• Supervised interns and volunteers.• Coordinated environmental education outreach programs for public and private school students including The High School for Environmental Studies, Bronx High School of Science, The Beacon School, The Legacy School and Princeton-Blairstown Center’s High Quest Program.• Coordinated community outreach materials and presentations for local events such as Ecofest, Earth Day at Shea Stadium, the Botanical Garden’s compost project and other local environmental outreach events.
