Angela is proud Anishinaabekwe and settler mix registered with Garden River First Nation. With over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, she is passionate about Indigenous Women's entrepreneurship and is commited to enhancing the prosperity and well-being of Indigenous entrepreneurs, families, and communities. Angela's personal journey in reclaiming her Anishinaabe culture, language, traditions, and worldviews includes achieving her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Indigenous Studies from Trent University. Angela's skills and knowledge of Indigenous research design and processes, combined with understanding of the history of Indigenous and non-Indigenous relationships including social, cultural, political and economic issues enhance a two-eyed seeing framework and perspective in her research. Angela is passionate and commited to ensure prosperity and equality are restored for Indigenous Peoples across Canada. Angela acknowledges that she is a visitor on the traditional lands of the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg within the Williams Treaty Territory and is grateful to live, work, and play on the beautiful Kawartha Lakes north of Peterborough, Ontario. In addition to Indigenous related research, Angela loves learning, creating beauty and helping others to thrive.
