I provided communication leadership and direction following the Christchurch earthquakes. I ensured communication supported the Christchurch recovery programme goals while remaining integrated and aligned with the organisational communication strategy.This involved providing images and information for media and online platforms, managing content and conducting analytics for youth website 'Address the Stress'; proactive and reactive media engagement; identifying and preparing staff and volunteers for media interviews, and working alongside other organisations in the recovery space, including government agencies, non-profit, social service and health organisations.I coordinated the production and distribution of communication material including brochures, video content and event collateral, produced the recovery newsletter, and contributed content to the annual report. This involved working closely with graphic designers, printers and freelance photographers and video producers.

I managed internal and external communications for the Catholic Church in New Zealand, which involved:-supporting leaders and groups to communicate effectively with the country’s 500,000+ Catholics-proactive and reactive media engagement and media training for spokespeople-supporting the development of a new website, providing CMS training and creating content-establishing a social media presence for the Church-sourcing, writing and distributing news, conducting interviews, taking photographs, commissioning opinion pieces, editing content-ensuring the Church’s involvement in public affairs and parliamentary proceedings reflected its core values.
