• Achieve booking goals through active prospecting of clients in the local hotel market.• Identify, research and build relationships with new clients in the local market.• Negotiate rates and other client bookings based upon client usage/history, time of year – all while keeping the hotel in the top rankings of the comp set.• Work with and professionally interact with the Director of Sales, General Manager and other affected department heads regarding hotel services provided to Corporate Sales clients such as rooms division or food and beverage services.• Follow up with and resolve any Corporate Sales client complaints.

• Enhance relationships with the nearly 800 current HTA members and target potential new members that could benefit from HTA membership• Continuously work to expand the scope of companies involved as members of the HTA, and ensure positive growth for the organization• Act as an extension of HTA corporate members’ business development to help them gain maximum exposure within the organization, as well as in the Charlotte hospitality community• Coordinate special interest/issue meetings to address specific concerns and brainstorm potential solutions; as well as connect appropriate parties thereafter• Actively observe the political processes and any changes occurring in rules and regulations that have an impact on the nearly 800 members of the HTA• Work cohesively with the President of HTA to ensure that members are receiving a return on their investment• Editor of the monthly publication, The Charlotte Hospitality News, which has a distribution of 5,000 readers monthly.

• Strategize various ways to increase positive relationships with the more than 500 members of the HTA• Organize meetings and other events that enable our members to build relationships and increase business opportunities• Coordinate and execute numerous fundraising events (i.e. golf tournaments, business-to-business trade shows, and an annual dinner)• Work daily to target new members and build relationships with those targets• Manage day-to-day administrative tasks (billing, database maintenance, email, etc.)
