I am a charity CEO and senior development manager with a proven record of rebranding and expanding small charities into sustainable national organisations, including those involving disability, leukaemia and blood cancers and human trafficking. I also have additional experience managing a variety of large community development and private sector projects for several management consulting groups. My achievements include:- Lead the charity Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK at a time of significant change in treatment pathways and great uncertainty for affected families. Gave the charity a recognisable voice on key issues, and refocused internal energies. Brought in new skills in particular users of the charity services to key posts. Built a solid financial reserve through securing some long term funding as well as building constructive delivery partnerships with industry. - Rebuilt and rebranded The Elimination of Leukaemia Fund (ELF) from a small charity into Leukaemia UK, a leading charity dedicated to the treatment of leukaemia and blood cancers.- Led a team that increased income (1) by 15% during my first year, and (2) from £250,000 to £700,000 two years after the rebranding. - Increased the number of women supported and volunteers for HERA International, a human trafficking charity, by 30% in my first year.- Selected to be a 2018 Bursary Pilotlighter to help other charitiesI am an expert fundraiser, including from corporations, individuals, major donors, and trusts. I secured (1) £54,000 from a trust for Leukaemia UK, and (2) more than £60,000 worth of pro bono services to help rebrand ELF. I am a successful ambassador and have built many relationships and partnership, including the King's College Department of Haematological medicine. I was also the Vice Chair of the Blood Cancer Alliance, a group of 16 charities that help blood cancer patients. My management style is collaborative, and I have been able to lead and manage teams that deliver projects on time and within budget. My teams develop and quickly implement strategic initiatives and plans that meet the unique needs of each client. I was a visiting lecturer at the University of Greenwich, and the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Keep Britain Tidy. I have an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of East London, and a B.A. (honours) degree in European Business Administration from the École Supérieure de Commerce (ESC) de Reims / Middlesex University. I am PRINCE2 (project management) certified, an executive coach, and fluent in French.
