As the HR manager and member of the leadership team, I manage all HR processes and functions for the Rockmart facility. Partnering with department leaders developing relationships that enable effective HR support. I provide leadership, end to end talent acquisition, training, coaching, direction, performance analysis, performance management and discipline to subordinate team members in all departments. Track all requirements in Employment Law compliance including EEO, LOA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, FLSA and Workers Compensation. Develop and implement best practices throughout the facility to proactively satisfy the business needs. Execute recruiting strategies, employee relations and labor relations for all departments. Provide and maintain information pertaining to company policies, procedures and benefits. Manage processing of all pre-authorizations, drug testing, background check, on-boarding and separations. Advocate Open Door Policy throughout the entire facility.

Provide counsel to owners, managers, supervisors and staff regarding human resource and employment practices, policies, and employment laws in partnership with legal counsel. Resolve employee complaints, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention. Provide performance management guidance to management (counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Provide high volume talent acquisition, new hire on-boarding, training and development, background checks, and separations. Prepare packages for new hire orientation, conducts new hire orientation sessions, and ensures all new hire paperwork is complete. Respond to the state’s requests for unemployment information. Prepare unemployment appeal packages and represent the practice on telephone hearings to obtain a successful outcome. Reinforce and advocate for Open Door Policy across the leadership team. Manage FMLA and Workers' Compensation.

As Center Director, I was directly accountable for overall operational management in accordance with established guidelines, staff and facilities management, legal and budgetary considerations, and long range planning to ensure that the needs of the students and the goals of the center were met. I was responsible for staffing and employee relations issues, including recruiting and employee training and development.
