In this role, I will be leading and elevating the workforce Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies by maximizing the associate experience. Establish the Supplier Diversity program and Multicultural Marketing initiatives.

As the company's Senior Director of DE&I and Supplier Inclusion, I am responsible for supervising the development and implementation of a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion framework for action, together with a plan for educating more than 490K associates under the Unconscious Bias Training from 2020 to 2021. In addition, I also provide management support to key programs for promoting a diverse supply chain through the inclusion of diverse groups within the procurement process.Significant accomplishments include:• Credited with expanding the representation of people of color population from 35% to 38% in less than four years, while increasing Associate Resource Groups chapters from 27 to 65 since 2017.• Played a key role in enabling the company to achieve a 100% rating in the Human Rights Campaign and Disability index, which was the first in the company's history.• Increased the impact of Supplier Inclusion program from $2.8B to $4.1B over the course of four years.• Recognized as the Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council's Organization of the Year in 2019 and 2021, and Advocate of the Year in 2018.• Won the 2019 Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan Award from the Ohio Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs.• Earned distinction for being named as a Silver Top Corporation for Women-Owned Businesses by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, which is also the first in the company's history.

As the company's Director for Multicultural Development, I was tasked with coordinating the implementation of modern logistical approaches to multicultural merchandising, while managing more than $1B worth of sales budget, and over $750K in overhead budget.Significant accomplishments include:• Increased International Grocery sales revenue from $750M to $1B over a span of four years.• Helped improve sales by over 30% through the integration of Latin American products across the entire business.• Completed a comprehensive research on consumer dynamics, and devised actionable insights and implementation strategies for addressing the cultural needs of consumers.• Improved the knowledge of the company's employees about multicultural consumers through the deployment of operational playbooks, training programs, and seminars.• Generated more than $1.7M in cost savings during first year, while registering double-digit sales growth.• Introduced a centralized and multilingual communication process for the company's marketing and merchandising departments, while overseeing the transition of the International Foods department following the company's acquisition of Hiller's Supermarkets and the consolidation of Food 4 Less stores in Los Angeles and Chicago.

As the Senior Manager for Shopper Marketing Operations, I was in charge of overseeing the planning and execution of various shopper marketing initiatives, loyalty programs, and major events such as the Second Harvest and the Susan G. Komen and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.Significant accomplishments include:• Increased sales output by 100% compared to the previous year upon implementation of customer loyalty events.• Introduced the company's first ever special pack for commemorating the Susan G. As the Senior Manager for Ethnic Marketing, I was responsible for coordinating the analysis of promotional and account-specific programs, as well as facilitating the negotiation of contracts with various radio and TV stations, sports teams, and celebrity endorsers through partner agencies. Other duties include overseeing the delivery of the first Ready-to-Eat Cereal flow in the US, and managing the development and rollout of bilingual merchandising materials, brochures, coupons, and free-standing inserts that target Hispanic consumers.
