Growing up in the rich communities of several West African countries, I was enveloped in a world of storytelling. From that upbringing, I have arrived at this conclusion. I believe that humans are fundamentally narrative creatures; our lives turn on the axis of the stories we believe about ourselves, others, and the world around us. This perspective is one that permeates all aspects of my life, informs every role that I play, and propels me towards excellence: as a consultant specializing in nonprofit Executive Search, as a sister, as a mentor, as a resident of Chicagoland, as a member of my church, as a writer and creator, as a daughter, as a friend and more. I aspire to value and champion all our stories .I am a dynamic, relational problem-solver. I am fascinated with words and the ways they can be used to create, transform, and shape reality. I am invested in conversations and actions that promote human flourishing, especially through the efforts of nonprofit and international development. I seek to connect people, to each other especially, but also to ideas, dreams, and plans that they are passionate about. My favorite kind of problem is one you can solve - and I believe you can solve anything!I love traveling to new and familiar places, drawing concept maps, talking about the effects of globalization, reading and discussing magical realism, and hosting dinner parties for friends, family, and anyone else who is willing to try my food.
