About Angele Maraj

I possess over a decade of international and U.S.-based experience in the nonprofit sector in the fields of education, workforce development and community building, with demonstrated success in department leadership, program and communications strategy, and caseload and project management. Whether it's been developing and delivering an English language curriculum in the hills of Kerala, India, supporting students and leading teams through the labyrinth that is the American education system, or guiding New Englanders of all backgrounds to discover the next step on their career pathway, my approach to my work is grounded in relationships and driven by empathetic practice. What I value: Helping others identify their strengths and build their vision for their career. Social, racial and gender equity (that takes intersectionality into account). Community development with a people-first approach and good data, policy and evaluation practices to support it. Learning new skills. Quality storytelling. Engaging, memorable and effective content in media and the arts. In addition to my full-time work as a nonprofit professional, I am also a theatre writer, composer and performer in and around the Boston area. You can learn more about that side of my life at www.angelemaraj.com.
