I am a firm believer that empowered people, empower people. As a recent graduate with degrees in Social & Criminal Justice and Political Science, I have spent my college years learning how I could uplift others through community action and policy reform. I believe that equity should be at the forefront of all change, and that it is everyone's civic duty to use their privileges to help their communities. Recently, I co-founded Our Future, an organization designed to equip emerging leaders with the tools they need to be valued and empowered advocates for justice, sustainability, and equity. As sitting Vice President of the Advocates for Social Justice, I have been able to advocate for marginalized and disenfranchised communities. In my role as a Youth Peace Project Facilitator for Kids First Law Center, I am able to work directly with children that are often impacted by the oppressive and harmful systems they exist in. With all of these positions, my goal is to help shape a more just, equitable, and prosperous future for our communities. In my (admittedly, somewhat non-existent) free-time, I enjoy being in nature with my partner, Harold Walehwa, and our pitbull rescue, Akoda. I love game nights, good food, and movie marathons!
