Spending my childhood holidays on my grandparents farm led me to appreciate the importance of agriculture in creating high quality food. This ignited a passion, curiosity and a deep desire to learn more. Little did I know then that I would end up studying food science & technology and commercialising over 1200 innovations in the AgriFood sectors. By the time I reached Year 12, I had attended 15 schools - this amazing lived experience has shaped me into the adaptable, and resilient individual I am today; one who is unafraid of the unknown and actively creates endless possibilities. This spirit has led me to a career focused on identifying & commercialising innovations, with a commitment towards an inclusive, circular & sustainable AgriFood system. Today, I’m a senior executive leader and board director who thrives on inspiring change and sparking business wide transformation. My focus is on revitalising organisations for sustained growth and profitability by building and leading high performing teams (both technical & commercial expertise) to identify growth opportunities through innovation, strategy, market expansion and R&D. Known for my bold style of leadership, my greatest impact has come from collaborating deeply to harness collective energy; fostering cross-organisational capabilities and a high-performance culture. With 25 years' experience in large scale Food and Agribusiness multinationals, SME’s, Start-ups & University, I’ve learned to excel in complex, fast-paced, and cross-cultural global organisations to achieve impactful commercial outcomes. My experiences have spanned markets: Australia, NZ, Japan, China, Southeast Asia & the USA, across various channels: FMCG, Food Service, Quick Service Restaurants & E-Commerce. With my GAICD qualification, I actively contribute to prominent public, private & NFP committees and boards to provide oversight, foresight and insight.
