I was born and brought up in India, and I am a first generation American. I fell in love with computers the very first time I saw one during my final year of undergrad in Mathematics (yes, the adventures of being born in a small town in southern India). I developed a passion for programming and completed my Masters degree in Computer Applications and started my Software Engineering career in a multi-national IT org. I take great pride in my courage and persistence to overcome the struggles of being a woman to get started in IT career.Decades have gone by, and currently my job is to build strong, resilient and high performing Software Engineering teams by fostering a culture grounded in equity and inclusion.
