Organising a managing information and awareness events.Being the point of contact with members. This requires that I offer advice and support on a diverse range of disability and family related information. Maintain a high level of knowledge about disability and family related legislation, amendments in legislation, issues in the media and issues at a local, regional and national level. Manage social media and website.Marketing and fundraising. Developing new strategies and managing the future direction of the organisation.Though this position is voluntary it takes up as much or as little time as I can dedicate to it. This can range between 10-20 hrs per week. I am currently looking for a position in a similar area as I have worked for Áirc for over five years now and feel that I would like to apply my experience and knowledge to a new challenge. We are a group run by parents for parents.We aim to support other parents of children (up to 18 or leaving 2nd level education) with disabilities in County Mayo and their families.This support can take whatever form is needed whether that is financial, emotional, communications related or other.
