As the child of military parents, structure runs through my veins. Organizational skills, detailed planning, and taking initiative were life lessons ingrained in me at a young age. However, life has slowly taught me to prepare for unexpected turns. One of those turns was deciding to pursue a legal career. However, after three years at the University of Alabama School of Law, I learned that my career path allows to feed into my passion for learning about and serving my community. And I plan to do so in Birmingham, as a Labor and Employment attorney.Eventually, I hope to pursue an MFA in addition to my JD, gaining legal and theatre experience as an aspiring theatre producer. I want to make a social impact, and theatre, as the great equalizer, allows a place and space for society’s most daunting issues to be tackled. Though obtaining an MFA will provide experience in the environment I want to work in one day, gaining skills and legal knowledge through experience as a litigator will set me ahead for success in the industry.
