If you are looking for a developer with a background that reflects the ever-evolving world that we live in, then I am the game changer that you are looking for. Many years of honing my skills in case management and mental health consulting have shown me how people from all walks of life and a myriad of mindsets interact with the world around them, and how the world shapes their thoughts, behaviors, and identities in return. I had the privilege of helping people heal through unimaginable traumas, teaching me that growth can come from even the most damaged seeds. Being a part of that process aided my professional development, and I wanted to know if there were other environments where my passion for helping people, groups, and organizations grow would be beneficial.Pivoting to the software development realm might seem to be a stretch, but many of my skills can really be applied to this level of technical work. Clinicians will consult others to determine the best treatment plan for a client, while developers need to collaborate in a team to solve a coding challenge within a project. Clinicians need to manage incredible amounts of data in order to make accurate diagnoses about their clients, while developers utilize data to convey best practices to their management and executive teams. I am currently building up my hard skills to go above and beyond the expectations of a junior software developer, and I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead where I can put those skills to good use.
