• Through my experience at G.J. Gardner Homes as a sales assistant I’ve been able to not only learn the role in sales, but also wear many other hats such as that of an estimator as well as being in charge of liaising with difficult councils.• In sales I work to process leads and determine whether they would progress to a home sale or not. The process of exclusion consisted of liaising with the client asking the right questions via telephone and emails, as well as consulting with property information provided to determine whether the client was suitable for the company and ready to build.• The estimator side of the role rests under the sales. Once I have a budget and a list of requirements the next step is finding the right home and doing pricing take offs (Derived from working drawings) for the client based on our already existing designs to give them a closer price for the build they are after.• During my job, liaising with council’s Banyule, Darebin, Whittlesea, and Moreland are integral parts to obtaining building permits for current jobs. As G.J. handle the works from planning to handover.• Organizing excel spreadsheets to allow admin to properly understand and digest the data.
