As responsible for Engineering and R&D dept., I am accountable for: all technical aspects on revamping, repowering and greenfield projects, and on PV plants in operation; also for the strategy and coordination of R&D activities.This includes leadership to assure: technical standards definition, projects concept and final design, permitting procedures, quality and performance assurance processes to maximise plants PR and rielability, grid connection procedures, strategy guidance and coordination for all R&D projects.

Responsabilità di coordinamento nel team di Ingegneria, al fine di garantire l'aderenza alle normative tecniche, l'applicazione della regola d'arte, e la massimizzazione dell'efficienza, delle soluzioni e scelte tecniche per i progetti di revamping, repowering e green field di impianti fotovoltaici, e per gli interventi di manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria, anche considerando i vincoli operativi e di budget.Tali obiettivi sono perseguiti definendo gli standard tecnici e procedurali, indirizzando le scelte iniziali dei progetti, coordinando la verifica dei progetti definitivi ed esecutivi, presidiando le attività di messa in opera nei cantieri e i collaudi, guidando i PM nelle scelte operative, al fine di raggiungere i target con gli adeguati livelli qualitativi, nei tempi pianificati e nei costi a budget.Responsabilità della funzione di R&D, con indirizzamento strategico e coordinamento dei relativi progetti.

As president I coordinated the activities of the Photovoltaic Commission, representing a competence center within the Association, for all the aspects as technical, legal, normative, innovative and market trends.I regularly teached courses on Photovoltaic plants and theory, within the Association, and also in other organisations as IntelliEnergia; I was often involved as speaker in several conference on the topic, as in INAL, VV.F., Edilportale tour, etc.----------------------------------------------------------In qualità di Presidente della Commissione Fotovoltaico, ne gestivo e indirizzavo le attività, volte a costituire, all’interno dell’Ordine e a supporto del Consiglio, un centro di competenza tematico per gli aspetti legislativi, normativi, tecnico-scientifici e procedurali del settore, operativo per la fornitura di elementi conoscitivi e approfondimenti specifici, al fine di sviluppare attività ed eventi utili alla professione di ingegnere.Ho fatto parte del corpo docenti del corso di Progettazione di Impianti fotovoltaici presso l’Ordine.

All’interno dell’Ufficio Gestione Tecnica dell’Amministrazione del Patrimonio della Sede Apostolica, ho assunto la responsabilità per la gestione e il consolidamento dei processi manutentivi per il ripristino, mantenimento e miglioramento delle caratteristiche prestazionali degli impianti elettrici ed elevatori del patrimonio immobiliare, territoriale ed extraterritoriale, della Città del Vaticano. Le attività primarie in cui sono stato coinvolto:• coordinamento delle attività di manutenzione e ammodernamento degli impianti elettrici in tutti i siti del patrimonio immobiliare dell’APSA (Roma, Castel Gandolfo);• definizione dei capitolati tecnici per indire a gara i servizi di manutenzione degli impianti elettrici, speciali, e impianti elevatori;• supporto per la razionalizzazione e ottimizzazione dei processi interni e di controllo di gestione.

INTELLIENERGIA è una società di ingegneria che offre servizi nelle attività di analisi di fattibilità, permitting, progettazione e direzione lavori di impianti a energie rinnovabili, in particolare fotovoltaico ed eolico.Nel ruolo di COO, ho coordinato il team tecnico per la gestione delle commesse, in termini di avvio e cura delle pratiche autorizzative, delle richieste di connessione alla rete elettrica, redazione progetti preliminari, definitivi ed esecutivi, direzione lavori, per impianti in BT, MT e AT, residenziali, industriali e multi-MW.

As Technical director I has been responsible for the delivery output and sales support.In my duties I defined the Company's technical requirements, identifying the materials, devices, architecture and procedures to be applied in order to be compliant with regulations in force, and also efficient and cost & quality effective.I supervised the projects during all phases: feasibility, design, plan, installation, test, production, operation and maintenance, taking care of cost analysis, economic plans, design and authorization of works, activities and resources plans, procurement, security assurance, risk mgmt.In my role I supported also the technical offering, defining the cost plans for proposal, caring the customer relationship, with focus in client satisfation and company profit.

My research activities have been mainly based on the study of the control systems in space applications. In the Technical system Laboratory I have been the responsible for the projects' development, in particular on a satellite attitude control simulator (SACS) platform, obtaining the industrial patent in 2000.I have taught the following courses: Systems Theory and Automatic Control Systems for the students of Computer Engineering, at the University “Pontina”, in Latina (Rome), during the academic year ‘96/’97. In April 1998 I disputed successfully the Ph.D. thesis on “A Simulation Platform for Attitude Control: Design, Realisation and Comparative Study of different Control Strategies”.On the basis of this experience, from Jun 2015 to Dec 2016, together with DIAG (Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica, Automatica e gestionale dell'Università di Roma "La Sapienza") I have managed the project to realise a new attitude control system, active on three axes, suitable for cubesats (i.e. small satellites) – Client: Gauss (Group of Astrodynamics for the Use of Space System).

The company's mission has been focused on the design and realisation of control systems with customer solutions, where the lack of hardware/software components in the market made necessary the study and design of innovative methodology/technology. As reference of the relised projects I mention the automatic system for soldiers training on fighting in built-up areas (PACA), sited in Cesano military center, visited from NATO delegation on April 1996----------------------------------------------------Sin dalla sua costituzione, la società si è occupata della progettazione e realizzazione di sistemi di controllo con soluzioni dedicate. Within the Orbit and Attitude Control Dept. (AOCS), I was in charge to verify the safety or eventually find some errors in the attitude control software, on-board in the satellite SOHO, made under ESA-NASA co-operation and launched in October ’95 (http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/about/about.html).-----------------------------------------------All’interno di un gruppo di lavoro, ho partecipato alla campagna di test del software di bordo per il controllo di assetto del satellite SOHO – Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (realizzato in cooperazione ESA-NASA), che è stato lanciato nell'Ottobre '95 (http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/about/about.html).
