Fire investigation and analysis to determine the origin, cause, and liability fires and to testify as an expert witness in fire litigation. As a professor, he teaches fire related courses including Forensic Fire Investigation.

The owner has over 26 years experience in fire investigation and executive management in New York City agencies including the NYC Fire Department and NYC Mayor's Office as the Arson Strike Force Co-ordinator, as well as, owning a private fire expert consultant firm. He is motivated by seeking justice in civil and criminal fire litigation. He also practices in order to show continued professional growth at St. John's University where he has been a tenure professor since 1990. After determining the origin, cause, and liability of a fire, via an inspection or analysis of the case file, he provides expert witness testimony in civil and criminal fire litigation. He also conducts peer reviews of investigations conducted by his peers when requested by counsel. He has been called a renowned fire investigator by CNN and has appeared as a featured guest on CNN news. He has investigated many high-profile, high-loss, and fatal fires and testified in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Connecticut. He holds a Ph.D. and as a tenured professor at St. John’s University in New York, he teaches forensic fire investigation and related fire and criminal justice courses. He is former Chair of the Division of the Criminal Justice and Legal Studies and he currently serves as the Director for the Criminal Justice undergraduate and graduate program, as well as, as the Homeland Security program on the Staten Island campus of St. John's. He is also Certified by a National Certification Board (NAFI) as a Fire and Explosion Investigator (C.F.E. I.)
